What to Bet On at America’s Bookie this Week- March 21

College basketball continues to dominate the betting board at America’s Bookie this week starting with a pair of NIT matchups on both Tuesday night and Wednesday night leading up to the start of the Sweet 16 Round of the NCAA Tournament this Thursday.

Turning to Tuesday’s college hoops games, TCU will square off against Richmond as a 7.5-point favorite at 7 p.m. (ET) on ESPN2 in the first of two quarterfinal showdowns in the NIT. At 9 p.m. on that same network, Ole Miss will face Georgia Tech as a 5.5-point favorite with America’s Bookie.

Two more NIT quarterfinal tilts highlight Wednesday’s action starting with Illinois going up against Central Florida at 7 p.m. on ESPN2 followed by a battle between Cal State-Bakersfield and UT-Arlington at 9 p.m. on ESPNU. Things really begin to heat up in this season’s Big Dance this Thursday with a Midwest Region clash between No. 7 Michigan and No. 3 Oregon at 7:09 pm. on CBS. Both teams have looked solid through their first two tournament games and Wolverines have gotten the slight edge in this one at the betting window as 1.5-point favorites. The betting line for the total has been set at 147.

The Wolverines failed to cover as 2.5-point favorites in their opening round 92-91 victory against Oklahoma State, but going back to early March they are 7-0 straight-up with a 6-1 record ATS. Oregon is 10-1 SU in its last 11 games, but it has failed to cover in three of its last four outings. The total has gone OVER in all four games.

In a 7:39 p.m. tip on TBS, No. 1 Gonzaga will continue its quest for a national title against No. 4 West Virginia as a three-point favorite for this West Region clash. The total for this game has been set at 148.5. The Bulldogs have just one SU blemish on this season’s record against 34 victories. They have been a bit shaky as a betting team since late-February at 3-5 ATS and they have failed to cover against South Dakota State and Northwestern in this tournament.

The Mountaineers hammered Notre Dame 83-71 as three-point favorites their last time out, but this was just the second time they covered a spread in their last 10 games while going 8-2 SU. The total has gone OVER in four of West Virginia’s last six games.

The other side of the Midwest Region bracket features a Big Ten/Big 12 battle between No. 4 Purdue and No. 1 Kansas at 9:30 p.m. this Thursday on CBS. Both teams won their respective conference’s regular season title, but the each bowed out early in the recent conference tournaments. America’s Bookie has opened Kansas as a five-point favorite in this matchup with the total line set at 156.5.

The Boilermakers knocked off Vermont and Iowa State in their first two tournament games both SU and ATS with the total going OVER in both contests. They are now 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games and the total has gone OVER in five of their last six games. The Jayhawks had little problem getting past UC Davis and Michigan State in a pair of double-digit victories to improve to 6-2 ATS in their last eight games. The total has now gone OVER in their last four games.

Rounding out Thursday’s Sweet 16 schedule is a West Region matchup between No. 11 Xavier and No. 2 Arizona with the Wildcats favored by 7.5 points for this 10:09 p.m. tip on TBS. The Musketeers stunned both Maryland and Florida State as underdogs to earn a spot in this round. They have now covered in their last six games.
Arizona ran all over North Dakota 100-82 in its tournament opener in a game that ended as a PUSH at America’s Bookie before covering against Saint Mary’s in a 69-60 victory in the second round. The total line for this Thursday’s game has been set at 145 and it has gone OVER in four of the Wildcats’ last five games.
